Garden in shoes invades House of Culture

Contemporary Art in Brazil #2

The collective Bando de barro, Association of ceramists of Rio Grande do Sul join forces to create a garden where plants grow from shoes. The plants are taken care by the local biologist Edgar Salla. The garden, untitled Jardim da Sapato Florido (garden of flowered shoe) stands in the House of Culture Mario Quintana of Porto Alegre, on a tiny brigde, that joins the two sides of an ancient building.
